Community Intravenous Therapy Service

Service Details

The Community Intravenous Therapy Service treats a range of including lower limb class II cellulitis, urinary tract infection, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis and dehydration, alongside supporting chemotherapy patients requiring line care and maintenance in the short and long term.

The service delivers therapy in the community, either in specialist clinics or in the patient's place of residence, including care homes with nursing and residential care homes. It is accessible 7 days a week between 8am and 8pm and forms part of Community Short Term Services (CSTS).

Eligible patients must be 18 years and over and registered with local GPs.
