Children and Adolescent Mental Health Information for Clinicians

Emergency Information

If you have urgent concerns about the mental health of a child or young person which requires immediate assistance and may need a four-hour response:

9:00-17:00 Monday to Friday, contact CAMHS Duty Clinician on 03003 040 061.

Out of these hours, in a crisis, contact Sussex Mental Healthline on 03005 000 101.

These numbers can be used by professionals, family members or young people themselves if they have concerns about the immediate safety of a young person due to their mental health. Patients, parents and carers may also find it helpful to look at thMental Health page  for what to do if they are concerned about a young person’s wellbeing.

If you are concerned about the mental health of a young person who is not known to Specialist CAMHS services, contact https://www.sussexpartnership.nhs.uk/brighton-and-hove-CAMHS-specialist-community-mental-health-service
